Trial Commences In The Case Of Brickhouse v Redstone
Mr. Haytham Faraj commenced trial today in the case of Brickhouse v Redstone, in the US District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. Mr. Faraj represents the plaintiff who was wrongfully arrested and assaulted by a Granite City Police Department officer by the name of John Redstone.
The case was filed in federal court alleging violations of section 1983 of the Civil Rights Act. Brickhouse states in his complaint that on May 9, 2010, in retaliation for a complaint by his mother against officer Redstone, Redstone arrested and beat him with such severity that Brickhouse required medical care and continues to suffer injury which is likely to be permanent.
